Unexpected feelings

Going unreg for this - just in case!

So I moved out of the family home about a year ago and moved into a 2 bedroom house with someone from work. I had just started the job so we didn't know each other that well but over a few months some things have happened that have brought us closer - and I think we've become best friends.

Now that sounds great, yeah? But recently someone in work passed a comment on her being my girlfriend. (Apparently we do all the couple-y things together such as dinner out, weekends away etc)

So we're both girls in our 20's which is where the problem lies. Since the comment was made I've been thinkings - is our relationship weird? Like we don't have any physical contact, but we've got a really strong emotional connection. (And it's not only me that feels it - she does too and has told me)

But I'm beginning to question my feelings... Or am I just overthinking it because the idea was planted in my head?

I'd appreciate any thoughts on this, and sorry if it's not coherent!

    Hey OP!!

    Dont worry about it!!!
Me and my best mate (girls in our early 20's) done everything together when we first start hanging around and people used to slag us all the time over being a 'couple' and 'when are you getting married' etc. We used to just laugh at it and call each other wifey! Some people are never lucky enough to meet someone of either sex who they are genuinely close to and who they can share an emotional bond with so they just wouldnt understand what its like.
you should just enjoy your friendship, at the end of they day f*ck what anyone else thinks, your having a good time, you have someone in your life who you can totally kick back with, and new friendships are always great because your constantly getting to know the person. At the end of the day both of you will probably eventually meet boyfriends who you'll end up marrying and you'll have all those great memories of your 'weekends away and romantic meals out'.
    :) peace! x

Nah, go along for the ride, if ye are happy then ye are happy. Its hard enough to find a bit of happiness in this world not to mind people trying to take it off you. It sounds like you're over thinking it based on the comment about ye being a couple, can't imagine how anyone outside the two of you can comment on your relationship.

It's pretty common honestly. Guys will do it to - not necessarily emotionally, but where you have a mate where you do near everything with for a while. Generally one of the two starts dating someone and it cools a bit (at least in time available to spend together). Totally normally, be happy you have that connection with people.

Having a hetero life partner is totally cool.

    So the issue is

    1. Your confused about your sexuality?

    or

    2. Your worried about people questioning your sexuality at work?
