    Hi

Mabye someone could help me here. My family want to write to both ambulance and firebrigade staff who responded to a 999 call from our house recently to thank them for their valliant efforts. Unfortunately the family member they were trying to save did not make it but they really did try their best that night and in the hospital I remember the looks of dissapointment on the paramedics faces at the end when it was called.
So we would like to write to the units involved to thank them but I dont know where to write to and it would be nice if I could find out the right area or crew or whatever to make sure they get the message. Is there some central area where I could contact to try and ascertain where to send the letter - both ambulance and firebrigade were involved.

I would really appreciate your help with this one. thanks.

Phone DFB HQ on 01673400 and tell them what info you are looking for. They will be able to tell you which fire appliance was on scene and whether or not it was a Fire brigade ambulance or ERAS ambulance. Either way, thats your best bet. Sorry for your loss. Hope this helps

or alternatively write to the chief fire officer and he'll send it on to the relevant station and it will be posted on that notice board.
