Just wondering would I need ID or anything to bet in most bookmakers?
I'm 18 but have no identification at present (not in college yet).

Would they ask or is it something that never happens....

They may or may not. It depends on the manager in the shop at a time. Go in to a couple try and place your bet, you should be ok.

Some general advice - get a passport. You might want to bugger off somewhere tomorrow.

I never once asked anyone for ID when I used to work in a bookies. I don't think I have ever seen anyone asked in an Irish bookies tbh.

Funny this, I was at Fairyhouse on Wednesday and there were little girls in school uniforms around 10 years of age putting bets on with the on-course bookies.

This probably happens all the time but I had a grin on watching it.:)

Ask someone if they could go back to the first day they ever had a bet...

The liklihood is that they'd choose to do something else that day instead.
