    I real generic-sounding year but maybe that's just me listening to WWE PPV themes for so long...Continuing that idea of poking in some really old songs in there too (SummerSlam...they had SummerTime Blues a few years back)

    My fav is Buckcherry's "Rescue Me" :) Also got it on Rock Band :D

    The only generic songs I remember is "The end" for Armageddon and "Deadly game" for Survivor Series

    My fav themes are Skillet's "Monster" - just a perfect song for a HiaC and Maylene and the Son's of Disaster's "Step Up, I'm on it", just love that song:):)

    I should've been more clear, I meant 'generic' in that the majority of their PPV songs sound the same (to me). Just plain American (indy) rock. Don't get me wrong, the songs aren't bad, to my ears they all blend together and have the same sound. Like that 'Rescue Me' sounds a lot like Shinedown's "Save Me" to my ears. At least they mix it up with a dance and oldies track (not they I approve of using those genres of music lol)...would like a bit of Metal or NuMetal or just some different genre is all!!

    Favorite would obviously be ACDC but at least the rumble song was slightly different. Big problem telling the songs apart is that they usually only play about 10 seconds of a tune on raw promoting the song and the pay per view and when they play it the once on the pay per view you usually dont pay too much attention to it during the montage. The night of champions tune as actually quite good on first listen. Anyone remember the days when the big four events had the same music every year?

    Don't mind him.

    There is nothing wrong with considering the music used as part of sports entertainment. Vince does it often enough to show it has a role.

    Hey D2D, you put a lot of time into this thread. It shouldn't be deleted. A lot of people like listening/discussing theme music used in WWE. Just because one person doesn't like it doesn't mean it should be deleted. Hell, then there'd be nothing on the internet!

    I'm a WWE music whore! I love talking about theme music lol

    Extreme Rules had the best theme this year IMO. Wasnt a fan of the ACDC song for Mania.

    Mania 25 had the best song but not the AC/DC one, the one used on the closing montage, Touched by VAST, ****ing great song
