    Hi Folks
I am a permanent employee for a company and they sent on contract to work for another company for the last two years. This contract has come to and end for a week or two. My company is now stating I must take unpaid leave. My issue is I am a permanent employee just because they can't get me a contract doesn't mean I shouldn't get paid. Also it would only affect me no other person on different sites and head office will receive unpaid leave over the Christmas period. Can they force me to take unpaid leave?????

Tell them to GTF once your being paid by the permanent employer and they pay you directly (and you have payslips with the company name on it with there prsi contributions you have them by the balls).
have a look at your contract and see if there is any small print regarding being moved to another company.

No, if you're a permanent employee they can't force you to take unpaid leave just because their contract with a 3rd party has come to an end.
The contract between your company and their client is nothing to do with you
