Hi, I am having a problem with my son and daughters 2 dsLights.

My son's one has a little crack where he dropped it, and now its not recognising when he sticks a game in.

My daughter's one, never dropped, no cracks but same thing, its not recognising any games.

Does anyone know whats wrong or where to have them fixed and for how much?

    Thanks

Send a PM to witnessmenow, who is involved with consoledoc.com. He'll tell you if they're fixable or not.

I dont mean this to be too intrusive of a question but what age would the youngest person be who uses it?

    Seeing as its both:

I would imagine this is a case of one of the games getting wet (maybe chewed). I would be 90% sure its the fuses in your DS that are gone

    DSlitemobo.jpg

It would be the one marked F2 thats gone

Now the really good news. That game that got wet could hit again. I have a game at home that blows the fuse of whatever DS i put it in. I presume it got damaged at some stage, so it could be a case of your game.

What ever you do , do not just bridge/bypass the fuse. It was there for a reason, and it blew for a reason, if you bypass it and whatever made it blow it the first place happens again you will be left with an un-repairable DS!

If you've any questions feel free to ask
