If you're living in England and you have a Sky + box, can you pick up the Irish TV Stations?

IIRC, they're only available on an Irish subscription.

No, you can't. You used to be able to get Setanta Ireland if you subscribed to Setanta, but I don't think you can, now that Setanta Uk has gone bust.

Tie your subscription to an address in Ireland such as your parents house. All you need is the card to be an Irish card and then you can receive the Irish channels in the UK no matter what box you have. Just don't plug it in to the phone line when its in the UK.

You can get all the Irish channels in Spain and Portugal through sky I don't see why Sky would pass up the opportunity to cash in on the big Irish community in the UK as well.

not legally you cant, only if you have GB or IRL registered box in another country.

to get back to the original post, if you have an irish box with an irish card and you put it in your suit case and bring to Spain (or anywhere within the Astra foot print) it will work fine,

but dont plug the phone line, and dont ring tech support and when asked where you are based answer "spain" as someone I know did :-)

It isn't 'ILLEGAL' to watch UK/Irish Subscription TV outside the UK/Eire. It is just against Sky's T's & C's and you will have the card 'Killed' if they find out. But you cannot be criminally prosecuted.
