In the case of Combe v Combe how is the wife using estoppel as a single cause of action??

I know the judge used the High trees principle here and said that in that case there was another cause of action outside the promise... what was the other cause of action?

Any help would be appreciated in this matter :P

Are you asking about the Judge's decision in the High Court or Denning's decision in the Court of Appeal? You know the wife wasn't allowed rely on estoppel in the Court of Appeal.

Whichever court showed that you cant use estoppel as a cause of action
