It's coming to the end of the year so i was wondering what everyone's favourite memories were!! Two of the best weekends that spring to my mind were when Ireland won the Grand Slam (and i relived it again when i watched the RTE documentary this week) and seeing Take That in Croke Park!
    What were yours?

    My best memories are:

    1. Doing my final performance for my degree
    2. Graduating from college
    3. Getting my dog (cutest ever)
    4. Being bridesmaid for my best friend.

I'll always remember each of those as they were major events in my life. There was plenty s**te stuff that happened, but the good over-rides the bad! :D

2009 was a terrible year too for me but with excellent things in it.

~ I got 540 points in my Leaving Cert

~ I finally finished school and started college!

~ I went to Norwich for a day to see my fav band and played football with the singer Justin Hawkins (from the darkness) before the gig.

~ Have met amazing new friends in college

~ Saw Dylan Moran live :D

~ Interviewed one of my fav comedians backstage in the 02

~ Played and sang for the first time to a crowd

~ Went to Electric Picnic on my own and worked for a bit and had the best fun I've ever had with the best strangers in the world. Going places on your own really does rock. Stood beside Florence and the Machine and kissed a beautiful stranger that I'll never see again. =)

~ Feel free for the first time a long while and finally doing what I want.

Forgot about that one :) Got my ticket in February and was looking forward to it all year, and it did not disappoint, probably my favourite comedian and the first time I've seen him live

You should read all of the thread before responding, you then would have seen your post is worthless.

It makes me happy when you make a mistake. I <3 you.

2009 was pretty good for me:

    -Saw Michael Schenker live again

    -Saw Extreme live

-Dublin won their 5th Leinster title in a row (but sadly stumbled at the next hurdle after that!)

-Kilkenny silenced any doubters once again and proved that they are the best hurling team ever (I'm not from Kilkenny, but I absolutely admire them for the absolutely phenomenal sportsmen that they are, and I believe it is not up to them to get worse but for anyone who wants to wrest the All Ireland from them to raise it to the necessary level)

-Saw AC/DC live... twice!!! Once in London, then in Punchestown.

-Saw Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Journey and Tesla live. Brilliant.

-Saw Chelsea beat Liverpool and Manchester United live. That was proper tears in the eyes stuff. BLUE PRIDE!!!

    -Newtown win the Dunne Cup

-Chelsea win the FA Cup, despite going 1-0 down after 25 seconds!

-Cousin got married to a really lovely girl. Well done, Pete:D

    -Turning 21 was decent...leading to:

-A trip to Las Vegas for New Year's Eve... oh come to daddy....:D:D

I've had a few good memories.

1: Going to Cavan for a weekend with my mates to celebrate my 21st
2: John and Edward. Really brightened up my Saturday evenings.
3: The introduction of pitchers of Miller into my local for a tenner. :)
4: Finally getting the girl I've loved for so long. :D

Lying on a beach and Vanuatu and feeling like I was on a tropical deserted island (getting burned to a crisp was not a good part though!)

Getting promoted at work and realising that (most of the time) I've found something I enjoy doing and am not that bad at.

Going camping in February for Waitangi day at a campsite in the middle of nowhere. We had blazing sunshine and spent the three days swimming in the river and drinking. It was then I realised New Zealand had a lot going for it.

Here's to an even better 2010. I have high hopes for it!

I've been on the dole all this year but that gave me ample time to explore London and the surrounding countryside. In Essex I cycled to Ongar, Chelmsford, Doddinghurst, etc. In Hertfordshire, Ware, Hertford, St Albans, etc. In Buckinghamshire, Chesham, Wendover, Aylesbury, etc. I even cycled to Oxford! And I managed to go on some of the sunniest days of the year through so many pretty country lanes. A magical year!
