Laying quarry tiles

    Hi all,

We want to lay traditional black and red quarry tiles in the kitchen and we were wondering what was the best way to lay them - cement mortar, lime mortar or adhesive? We were told to use lime mortar to allow tiles to breath but this doesn't make sense to me as we are laying them on a concrete floor. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
