Had it - not much fun. Think theres a difference between training and keeping fit. Easy to keep fit by cycling but you need a goal to get any type of structure. For me, its entering long distance/endurance events. The etape it this years goal

If I'm honest, the biggest motivator is the devil on my shoulder mocking the vast gulf between (on the one hand) my boards post count and quantity of cycling equipment, and (on the other hand) my modest cycling abilities.

"Maybe if you spent more time riding your bike..."

The suffering !, it's always there for ya. You can be certain sure that your gonna suffer, oh yes !
Then you get the odd day when you it fells like you're steering a motorbike - you're flying along at no apparent effort. Passing people suffering, feeling like a God.

There is a great satisfaction getting off your bike in agony and knowing that you couldn't have given it anymore.
