I posted about this on the mega thread around a month ago :

I've an E160G on prepay and ( whisper it ) find it very useful as a dialup replacement.

Since last Thursday I havnt been able to get on to MY3 to check out my usage. Screen just says Service Unavailable & shows a snow bird in an anorak. ( Web browsing works fine however )

Any of ye dongle users able to access MY3 ?

    Please let me know

    Many Thanks

    Olddog

One month on and I've accessed MY3 many times since, however its been 'unavailable' for the last day ( and on past form will remain unavailable 'till the 30 days are up )

Reckon I have around 2GB unused and have no problems accessing the web at large.

    Any theories on this ?

Asa regular 3 pre-paid broadband user, I haven't experienced this, but that's probably due to the fact I almost always exhaust my bandwidth within 20-25 days as I use it in tandem with a contract o2 broadband plan.

On my o2 one, however, I've experienced something similar in that my bandwidth usage doesn't update in the last few days of a month, meaning if you're near your limit you're in danger of incurring out-of-bundle charges. The similarities might have something to do with the billing and turning-over procedures these company go through at that time of the month.

However, unlike 3, where upon getting your add-on you have to actively click to enable out-of-bundle charging, on o2 there isn't even a text message to warn you when your bandwidth is nearly depleted.

In your case the best advice would appear to be conserve as best you can 'till the last day and if there's anything big you want to download, save it until then to download so as to exhaust your bandwidth and wring that last bit of value from the plan.

The other option would to be to get the next add-on before those 30 days are up and have it lined up to take over when you exhaust the previous month's bandwidth - there's no rule that lets you only have one 30 day add-on every 30 days.
