Own name on business documents

Might be old news, but it's something I never realised before today, so I think it's worth pointing out.

If you're a sole trader trading under a business name, your own name must also appear on any documents in which the business name is used - invoices, letterheads, catalogues, business cards, letters, etc. (see section 2.4.2 of the linked pdf). Also any former names, and your nationality, if not Irish.
The same applies for all partners of a partnership.
Companies must similarly list all directors, although there are additional requirements for them.

"John Smith trading as Wibbletech", or "John Smith t/a Wibbletech" would do.

Not sure what the penalties for not doing so are. I'm fairly sure I've bought stuff from websites before which might have been small one-man
businesses, but not noticed and individual name on the invoice.
