    howye all,

looking at this race i am struggling to see how catch me will be beat. granted he fell last time out at last fence when he had the race won over the fences. back over hurdles today hes rated 10lbs better than his rivals running off the same weights today, apart from the veteran harder eustace (6lbs). has his favoured heavy conditions to suit. CD winner. won this race last year. has beaten aitmaov by 20l before who has already beaten ninetieth minute who are 2nd and 3rd in the market. has the beating of the rest of them through different race form. i think the 11/8 is very generous. what ye think?

He was a similar enough favourite last time out when falling, so you can see you can never be sure. I'd agree for all intents and purposes he should win but they are animals at the end of the day. Plus he has that ape to carry around, I don't rate Andy Mac at all.

I think we have to put it down to a lull in form in the stable. Pesoto pulled up in the race before it.
On paper Catch Me had plenty in hand in that race and finished a tame 4th.

I don't know enough about McNamara to have an opinion, but I honestly don't think the jockey made any difference today. Horse well beaten, never jumped or travelled like he can. Not his true form, jockey not to blame though.

Was a very slow run race which did not suit Catch Me.

I agree. Maybe something was a miss but he never travelled. He needs a good gallop as he has a great engine but not the best turn of foot. Also would liked to have seen him be ridden closer to the pace!
