I'm thinking of getting Sky HD. Am I better off going with Sky or an Independent installer.

Also can anyone recommend an independent around Dublin 5.

What would be the chances of getting it installed before Christmas?

Independents are faster at the moment.

Roughly seven to eight days from ordering your card.

I've sent you a number for an installer up there.

Can you recommend anyone to do a nixer in Artane to install a cable from my sky dish to a boxroom upstairs? I have the box and viewing card so it would just be running a single cable from the dish to the room.

    Thanks

I'm thinking of going to an independant too. I rang Sky last week and was given a date of January 11th which means i miss half the xmas tv. If i go independant do i have to cancel my whole sky package with them and get a new one through an independant or can they just do the HD + upgrade?

You don't have to cancel at all Lord Lucan. A local independant will do an upgrade.
