Metro vs herald

I pass these guys on my way to college every day. Metro in blue, herald in red. As soon as the bus comes in they're scurrying down the street to get to it first and try and give more people their newspaper. Classic red team vs blue team.

I feel so nerdy wanting to shout out "RED TEAM wins the match"

I used to say metro just coz of it's cooler name. But then an editorial in the herald am caught my eye. In it they described budweiser as tasting like piss. The metro are too tame to use the word piss espeicially to describe a branded product. Herald am ftw!

Don't get either anymore, both are utter crap. But the of the two has to be metro. I have lost count of the amount of times I've read week old (or longer) international stories in the Herald.

Also, read a review for easy rider in the Herald, it gave it 0 out of 5. WTF. Who works at the herald writing tv movie review and thinks somehow that they know better then the critical world. What a bell end. Same person probably gave legally blonde 5 stars.

Never read the paper again after that one.

Metro get's my vote, although i read both papers.

Subconciously i go through Herald AM in a few minutes(feels like i am cheating on someone ) then i take my time to read the Metro...

hah It's actually going to be called Metro AM.

I'm not looking forward to it really as usually I find the Metro has far better stories and journalism than the Herald AM, which is really just a morning tabloid.


I have to say though, there's usually a herald and metro guy at my train station in the morning, but yesterday the herald guy was busy on the phone or something so the metro guy was giving out the metro AND the herald. It was nice to see

2 of them at the Tallaght Luas every morning. Red guy first then the blue guy. Use to get the herald am and found I finished it before Kylemore, The metro lasts me til James's where I get off. I'm just coming to the boring sports section when it's my stop.

I usually take both and leave the Herald AM on the seat beside me. It actually seems to deter people from sitting beside me unitl all the other seats are full. Then eventually someone sits and reads it.

But tbh my own book ftw. That way I don't have to learn about how **** a counry i'm living in.
