Just wondering, in the current climate how much money do people have after all outgoings at the end of the week / month. I have just worked it out and after all bills, rent, car etc I have €145.00 per week to play around with, thats without buying food or clothes, just wondering is that way below the average. I earn about 480.00 per week.

    - I think fire regulations mean there's illuminated exit signs around ya know :(

Only joking - Worst of all would be a massive mortgage on an underwater house - Our Planning Departments are a sensational joke - Just without the humour, logic and point.

Very little after my Crumlin and Kimmage developments fell through.

Of course, if you land on free parking you're sorted.

    In reality, none.

Very little and getting smaller every week and now I have the budget to look forward to, I find my night out is a night in these days, a DVD and a few cans and judging by the custom of the off licences beside the vid shop a lot of people are doing the same. Woe is me.

pratically none. with a wife on less than full dole due to my means test, and a job thats paying me less and less with each passing month. we're stretched tight as a drum skin. we have no savings, and nothing if an emergency crops up. thankfully work supplies my uniform, and as i rarely go out i dont have to buy clothes too often, even if i could afford them. if either of us get sick we have to ride it out as we cant afford the doctor, if the car breaks down we cant afford to fix it. as soon as our lease is up we're moving 10 miles which will save us between 250-300 euro a month on rent and petrol, driving will be minimum and i'll walk to work.

so to answer your question: nothing. we live hand to f****ing mouth.

Depends on my hosting bills, nixers, successful armed robberies and how much I have to spend feeding by chocolate addiction.

On average, I have about €1750 spare per month to 'play with'. Although I generally have a lot of 'one off' bills which frequently take a sizeable chunk out of that.

After rent, loans and bills, I've about 800 for petrol, food, drink and clothes.
Soon to increase dramatically to about 1200 when I sell the car :D

    edit: monthly

Get paid monthly (today actually :D), but usually have between €1100 - €1250 to play with.

Probably because I've the car fully paid for so no loan, I pay my tax and insurance in one go so no monthly debits there.
The main monthly DD's i face are rent (although its quite low for the savage apartment me and a mate moved into recently), ESB and gas, again quite low as we only turned on the heating for the first time 3 days ago!! WE seem to get warmth from the apts below us. :) My mobile phone monthly bill is reasonable, then broadband and a savings account. I also give my mum a few bob each month, so i'm left with the above figures after that. Ish.

The money I have left over is about 120eu a week and covers clothes, books, social life, flights, interest on my college loans. I'm living on lots of borrowed money as well:(

About £200 sterling a month I guess. After Xmas childcare will suck that up though.

We have a "bills" account that all our bills are paid from. We overpay into it by about £300 a month so it mounts up nicely. That way there's money for emergencies and items like travel and one off purchases can come out of there without denting our regular incomes.
