Can someone please help:eek:, I have a interveiw for a job in Penneys this week and Im sooooo nervous. Ive never had a job in a store although do have alot of customer service experience. Im just wondering how to prepare for this. Its just a sales assistant job. Any idea of what i should wear? suit or just trousers and fancy top?

Can anyone tell me about the interveiw. Do you think ill be asked alot about fashion? Whats it like working there?

    Thanks in advance!

I actually work for the company. During your interview all you need to do is come across as a friendly person. Do come across as a team player and have a want for progression with the company. They do not look for experience as such. As long your on time and well dressed (no need to be formal) you will be fine.

    Good Luck.

Good luck with the interview! I can only second what Craig said.

I worked for Penneys for two and a half years part-time during college and they were great to work for, really look after their staff.

sorry to pop into this thread, but just wondering.. I have applied for a weekend manager role and currently waiting on a response.

I was just wondering if those of you who have previously/currently work for Penneys if you have any idea of what the weekend hours are and salary??? I havent been able to make direct contact with anyone from Hr.

    Thanks a mil :)

I'm not sure on managers hours, I was just a sales assistant while there. However, our shifts were generally 8.5 hours long with an hour lunch break. Managers may need to be in a bit longer, in particular in the evenings after work to cash up.

Good luck with the job application! They're good to work for, esp at Christmas :D
