I think I was missold a package form Chorus and am not happy! Is there any way to get out of the contract without being charged? I only got it installed today and it is a mess. The box it buzzing like a bee hive, the phone is in a relly bad spot and was not told we were getting so few channles. What can I do?

of course you were ripped off by chorus

if its not the service you asked for then that pretty much have no choice but to make it right.

if they dont then just dont pay your bills, it is your consumer right.

no idea. They really dont have a say in the matter,

they must do what they are told or you just dont pay them.

ring them and demand it be done and fixed.

if they should refuse cos of a contract or anything then just dont pay.

    it is a consumer right.

if you bothered to look you would see clearly that when you select a package on the site there is a tab called "CHANNELS"

just in case you still cant find it

I think there is a 7 day cooling off period for these types of services.

yes exactly there is a 7 day cooling off period ring them and cancel before that time is up , not paying your bills is not a good idea that just leads to things getting very messy

There is a cooling off period.

But why did you not ask the installer to put the equipment where you wanted it?

Is there a cooling off period for all such services? I've been thinking of trying wimax from imagine, but they have no mention of a cooling off period so I'm not prepared to gamble.

As others mentioned, there is cooling-off period, if you waived this, then you can quit with 30 days noticed, since they just announced price increases...
