DSF is a FTA one that I remember from my days of having a dish pointed there. Decent channel.

The following ones would be the main sports channels on 19E but all require a sub:

    German Sky Sports
    French Canal+
    Spanish Digital+

DSF / SAT1 often show the odd British based team footie match, and more often than not the commentary is on UK radio (I muxed Man U v Spurs last night) and it was watchable and FREE. Also, International games, where the teams are in the same group as Germany are also on FTA.

BDO Darts and Snooker usually on Eurosport and PDC darts pops up on DSF. Eurosport analague is still in English too :-)

There is a FTA channel called TW1 which simulcasts ORF Sports in the evenings and sometimes during the day depending on whats on. It tends to show more alternative sports though, but does show some football. You can regularly find basketball, ice hockey, American Football (German leagues and Eurobowl only, no NFL matches) and more on there, mostly in 16:9 and completely free. :)

Are you sure you're dish is pointing at Astra 1 at 19.2º E?

Where did you get the dish from and who installed it?

    Have you entered the correct frequency for Eurosport? (12.226 - H - 27500 - 3/4)

You are aware that Eurosport in digital only carries German audio? For the English audio version you would need the analogue version of Eurosport which would require a seperate, and old, set top box.

    Hi Eternal,

The dish is pointing at Astra 28.2 E, (for all the bbc ch4 channels etc).

I got the dish from Maplins and i got a Satellite guy in Galway to install it.

I will try the info that you gave me for Eurosport. If it comes up in German would is it possible to get English audio from somewhere (probably a daft question)

Would i get all the same channels bbc e4 ch4 film4 on 19.1.

Is it possible to get Eurosport on 28.2 or would i need a seperate lnb.

Thanks for the information much much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mugie

To get the FTA version which comes in German language audio only, you would need a seperate dish pointing at 19.2º E or attach a second offset LNB to your curent dish to receive it.

If you get a second LNB you can put the two downleads into a DiSeqC switch and can easily flick betwen the two satellites so you can have receiption of all the UK FTA channels (BBC, ITV, C4, C5 etc) and also any FTA German channels in 19.2º E like Eurosport, MTV, DMAX, Viva and TW1 which simulcasts ORF Sports most evenings and weekends. All these channels, and most on 19.2 for that matter come in German language only, but sometimes you do get the occasional programme undubbed with German subtitles. MTV's music videos are the same as here mostly with some German artists thrown in and generally their music videos are unedited so you get sweary songs during the daytime. Their US imports are usually uncensored too so plenty of boobs and F words during daytime hours too, if that's you thing!

Don't even get me started on what RTL, VOX and others show after 10pm... ;)
