Do Amazon always use An Post for super saver delivery? Do they ever use couriers? I am still waiting for a package that was dispatched by Amazon last Thursday night. They say it was sent via An Post. Normally Amazon are very quick but I am worried about this package.

Parcel turned up today by An Post. Still it was way slower than normal.

Sounds OK to me (considering there are no deliveries here on Sat or Sun) What did you expect ? (They say 4 to 5 business days)

Normally if they post it on a Monday, I would have it on Wednesday.

Maybe the floods slowed things down :) ?

My first time using Super Saver Delivery but haven't yet had notification of shipping of an order I placed on Sunday. The old ship in as fewest parcels and for cheapest price took at max 3 working days once shipped, but even for stuff they say is in stock Amazon.co.uk have got slower and slower about processing orders and now from when I order its at least another week before they ship?

Anyway will report back if it takes any longer with Super Saver Delivery.

I've got about 6/7 free deliveries from amazon ,they take a lot longer to dispatch and probably about an extra day to deliver.
It's worth it though ,saved about €25 in delivery charges.

The longer time till dispatch has been around for a lot longer than the Super Saver Delivery option, I've been complaining about it regularly for at least a couple of years. When I first started using Amazon.co.uk about 7 (?) years ago dispatch took at most 24hours for in stock items, over a week is getting ridiculous.

I haven't had issues like that myself ,mostly the items would be sent early the next day on standard delivery.
The weekends were always slower though.

Ive found that an post tend rather lazy with online packages...the amount of times ive had to go to the depot to collect a package-only to be informed that my packages were sent to the wrong address. Even though my address was written in plain english. Has happened 3 times with an post in the last 2 years.
