Warts n all

Where to begin  I'm trying to figure out if the woman im currently imbetween the sheets with is lying to me or telling me the truth. She let slip to me ages ago she went for a std test. (She was only shagging me at the time) I asked her why she went for 1? After a bit she admitted she went because a girl I was sleeping with before her had been sleeping with a man we both know around the same time I was and it was said he had genital warts. Her test came back clear. So I take it I am clear. Now this is where it gets interesting. 1 of her other friends, she claims has got the worts off the fella because a friend that the other 1 confided in told her. She says this after a night out on the beer we where back at a house at a party.

The 1 im with starts going on to her other friend (not the one with the supposed warts) about warts and generally rabbiting on and takes pictures of her other "friend" and me saying ignorant things refering to warts ect. I gave out to her the next day. There was a few things that were let slip about me when she was going on about her friend though. Now awhile later I tell her I think she was taking the piss out of me aswell. She says she wasn't, I point out that women don't get warts on there nipples and toes as she said. She says nothing doesn't look me in the eye.

She then goes to her friend she always goes to for advice, the same 1 that was taking the piss out of her other friend with her and comes back saying "oh they are cysts on her toes and nipples" etc all the time looking like a liar (body language) Then she tries to convince me that her mate (the one who is supposed to have a warty pussy and cysts on her nipples and toes) rode the fella with the warts again. She said she rode him once before (about a week ago), now her story has taking a drastic change saying she rode hime 6 times and had to get the morning after pill every time.

This is when she knows 90% she got the warts from the fella. She says all this without looking me in the eye and after it sitting forward so I can't see her face. I turn around and tell her its all bull**** and she gets uncomfortable and stands up walks to the fire sits in front of it and faces it while talking to me asking why do I think its bull****. She is as guilty of sin of something and I can't figure it out.

The only thing I can think of is that the two of them at the party were in fact taking the piss out of me and seen my reaction the following day for doing that to a friend. Said it was the other girl and made up all the **** about her to stop me from thinking it was me they were on about. Any views?

Warts are caused by the HPV Virus.

The HPV Virus is so common that I have been told it is not even part of regular screening for STD's, doctors assume people have it or something.

The Fact is, the HPV Virus might not mean you get warts though you could still contract it even if you are using condoms. It is spread through Skin Contact rather than fluids IIRC.

So basically, don't worry about it, drop the girl you are fcuking and get an STD test yourself to make sure you don't have anything.

Also, Paragraphs, they will help you alot in real life as well as here!

I'm finding it a bit difficult to follow your post, but the one thing that stands out is this.... Just because your sexual partner has an STI test (which is a very sensible and mature thing to do regardless of how many sexual partners one has currently or in the past) and it comes back clear-this DOES NOT mean you have nothing. Go and get tested. Now.

    1. Get an STD test. You may aswell put your mind at ease.

    2. Ditch these ridiculous, immature girls. They sound like a pair of saps.

    3. Go find a nice girl who doesn't have the mental age of a dysfunctional schoolgirl. :D

    Good luck with the tests!

She sounds rude, ignorant and not particularlly nice and you think that she is lying to you.
Why are you involved with her?

That was when she is drunk she turns ignorant. I think she is lying, but don't know thats the thing. Other than that she is a nice person. Its a casual relationship

More people have the HPV virus than you'd think, a scary amount tbh, but most people dont show symptoms, or ever get warts as a result, get checked anyway though to be sure

Can you get checked for them even if there is nothing visable?

There is no test available in this country for HPV Wart Causing strains. The only way to know if you have warts is a visible inspection. There is no test (full stop) for HPV in men in this country.

Abnormalities in the cervix can be identified during a cervical smear.

The fact that your gf/partner/lover got an STI test in the past shows maturity and responsibility and it should be looked upon as being positive rather than an indication of her past etc... If only the existing attitude changed we mightn't see the huge increase in things like HIV as announced today.

If you don't see any warts then don't worry - I have seen in quoted that 75%+ of sexually active people will have at least one strain of HPV throughout their life times. Goes with the sexual territory and is generally nothing to worry about.

Having routine STI tests is a good thing though, so maybe you should consider getting one some time in the same way as you would get your car serviced.

I always go for STD test when I have a new sexual partner before we have sex without condoms. And they go for a test too. It should be routine to get regular tests. Its very careless just to jump into bed with anyone and spread these preventable diseases around. Like you say you are just having casual relationships.

It was very mature of your girlfriend to have a STD test and she might have felt embarrassed that you asked her why she went for one! No one should feel ashamed or embarrassed as it is all very confidential and you are only dealt with by number. I could not follow the story you described, but it sounds alot of chinese whispers.

I suggest you should consider going for a test too and each time or frequently after sexual partners. Its very quick to be tested and once you go for one, you are more likely to do it as a routine health check. Just because your girlfriend got the all clear doesnt mean you dont go...you should go. Like a previous poster said, majority of people carry HPV virus, but its only effident in some people (cold sores, warts). So it might not show up with her, but could you etc. HPV also causes Cervial Cancer. The HPV vaccine might be able to reduce male related cancers, however studies are still being carried out.

HPV is not the only virrus you should worry about. There are other STDs which should also be checked out.

oh and i just read that HPV can be "silent" for many years before it is detected by a test. Your partner may have had the HPV virus for a long time, and there is no way to know when or from whom they got it.
