    Hi,

Enterprise ireland have a grant of €1000 available for businesses to help them develop websites, ecommerce solutions etc.

Does anybody have experience with this grant? What are the requirements etc? Do you need to be a registered company/reg for VAT etc?

I'm working on a project for somebody at the moment just wondering will I / they be eligible for it?

    Any pointers?

    Thanks

Yes, well i've googled it and didn't really come up with much.

Actually, the client is in Limerick. I've been on the Limerick enterprise boards site.

It really just tells people about what is available and to who.

I'm just wondering how to go about getting this for my client.

Does my client need to get a quote from then got the enterprise board and get approved. Then on approval I can start work and get paid after?

Where on the site does it tell you whether or not the web developer needs to be a registered business/company and/or registered for VAT?

I pitched for one of these to my enterprise board and was offered a grant.

From what I can remember (as I didn't take the grant in the end), it's 50% up to a max of say 3/4K.

As for getting the offer, I presented a business plan, knew my product, market and business model as well as export potential inside out. That may sound complicated to know but it wasn't really. All of it was common sense and then had backup data to show why an online business would work. If you're prepared and know what you're talking about, you have a good chance I reckon as most the people who had gone in before were no way near as prepared as I was according to the guy I presented to and I didn't even think I was overly prepared. I just knew what I wanted to do.
