Dress for wedding help!

Hi,
going to a wedding on saturday of a close friend. I haven't yet got an outfit as I haven't been well recently and am busy with study/exams. Starting to panic now..
has anyone seen anything decent in the shops [too late for online now]? I'm thinking of red or black fairly fitted dress with some form of shoulder/arm cover [hideous arms]. Has to be knee length as my legs are pretty gross as well. I'm only 5 2''. I'm a bit under size 12. I'm 36.
Any help would be great.

Here are a couple of ideas - might just give you an idea of what you don't want, but it'll get the ball rolling here..

Here's a black Wallis dress. The cut of this would be quite flattering and you could dress it up with some fancy (red?) heels. Dark tights could even work with it if you're leg conscious.

Monsoon can also be good, depending on the style you're looking for. Here's a black dress that could also sit quite well.

Hiya, well I went shopping today and lots of things looked hideous. I was getting a bit panicked but then I went to LK Bennett and got this dress..its much nicer IRL than in the photo. Not sure whether to wear it with black tights..
