    Las Vegas League

    €30 + €5 Freeze-out
    $5,000 Starting Stack
    $500 Early bird chip before 8pm

    Reg from 7:30pm, Starting @ 8:15pm


    20min blinds

    The league will run every thursday for 20 weeks.
    Starting from 5th of November 2009
    €5 from every entry will go into the league final prizepool.
    The top 10 finishers in the league will then play off in the league final.
    For every point over 20 the finalist will receive
    $100 extra in chips on top of the league final starting stack of $5,000

    The winner of the league final is
    Guaranteed
    A package to Las Vegas worth at least €2,000
    (Includes flights, Hotel, $330 tournament entry @ The Bellagio & spending money)

    All money over €2k in the league
    will be paid out with the payout structure below (approx)
    Places 2nd - 10th
    2nd 30%
    3rd 20%
    4th 12%
    5th 10%
    6th 8%
    7th 6.5%
    8th 5.5%
    9th 4.5%
    10th 3.5%

    Wicklow Card Club will also be
    adding money to the league final
    (Yet to confirm the amount)




    €1-€2 NL Texas Hold'Em
    Cash games as soon as a table is made available
    (live staddle available)

    Sorry for being so late posting this up guys this is in its 4th week
    1st week- 26 runners
    2nd week- 28 runners
    3rd week- 26 runners
    4th week- 30 runners

    In the league prizepool thus far


    Still 16 weeks remaining to make it into the league final of 10

    Points are paid out as follows

    1st = 15pts
    2nd = 12pts
    3rd = 10pts
    4th = 8pts
    5th = 7pts
    6th = 6pts
    7th = 5pts
    8th = 4pts
    9th = 3pts
    10 = 2pts

    Every player that plays is guarenteed at least one point!

    Still going tournaments on thursday and fridays.Thursday be your best bet be more plalyers probably around 15 players .Cash game usally start about 11.30 go on till 4 or so numbers dependant.1-2blinds straddle live but most of them dont bother with it.

    There would be if there was enough interest in it..to be honest most of the time the 1-2 game aint that big because most of the players buy in for €50 and at most €100.

    Surely that means they'd prefer to play .50/1? cos they'd be deeper and actually be able to play somewhat, instead of playing shove and pray poker?


    Plus the game would be healthier and would attract some new blood in the form of some of the younger student crowd from around meaning more rake cos the games would stay alive longer.

    I understand some of your above points but i have been in the club every week for last couple of years and never once has anyone asked for a .50/1 cash game so wouldnt be much point running one unless a few of the students mentioned pop down and ask for the game to be run then they could run that game no problem.Maybe if you know a few people that are interested in a smaller game get them to pop down and try get the smaller game up and running.
