Does anybody know anywhere that one can buy a good pedometer for measuring distance but for running or does such a thing exist. You see Im looking at getting Garmins but they are too expensive for me at present so need something in a lower bracket.

Websites would be appreciated. Dont know if this is allowed just to ask a question and make a thread out of it but if its not im sorry and the people in charge can delete this as they see fit.

    Regards,

ipod nano has a pedometer built in

But for measuring distance you can buy a Nike+ for €29 and hook it up with the nano
You don't need special Nike runners, buy a holder for sensor from ebay for a fiver

    www.apple.ie
Not as accurate as the garmin watches but it's cheap and works well enough :)

Cheapest option (free) is to use mapmyrun. eitehr map out where you plan to run of where you ran and you will get the distance you are covering.

I use map my run too, I combine it with the use of my garmin. I was able to buy my garmin on ebay, with delivery for slightly over €110.

It was the 305 version and included the heart rate monitor too.
