Antonov 225 in 2012 Hollywood movie.

    Anyone see this movie? Effects were awesome but plot was horrendous. I believe the 225 was used in the flesh in this movie but was wrongly called an "Antonov 500" as written on the side of the jet. Any reason for this?.

    Probably because this movie was trying to be horrendously inaccurate in every possible way.

    Probably just for the usual movie reasons. They repainted the Cessna 340 that starred in it too. Haven't seen the movie but loved the trailer where the pilot tries to go through his checklist as the runway collapses around him.:eek:

    Theres a feature in this months issue of 3d world magazine about the movie and the effects. They don't mention the 225 but focus a lot on air force one. I havent seen the movie but apparently its mostly cgi. It sounds like if it could be done in cgi it probably was rather than using the real thing. I could be wrong tho!

    maybe because it is year 2012? and we are at this year? and they could have made it during these years?
