Broadband Chorus & Eircom Netopia router

My Wireless Netgear router does not work as good as before now: My housemate on the 2nd floor cannot connect through wireless. Myself in the first floor it's ok; and if it doesn't, I move a bit my laptop to go closer and then go back in my room.

It was working fine before even in the 2nd floor.
So we looked at the Wireless and figured out the antenna is seriously damaged.

Recently we got an Eircom Netopia router so we replace the Netgear.
I connected it to the modem but we don't get any internet at all (just the signal)

You'll get a quicker answer on the wireless forum....>>>here.

Others have asked the same question but answers weren't straight forward or positive about it even being possible to do. You'd probably be best just replacing the wireless router you have.

Well if the wireless router is damage, and it is less then 12months old, then you can get it replaced.

I assume you are with Chorus for broadband?

Do you have a separate modem and wireless router or are they all in one?

If they are separate, then yes, there are ways to get the Eircom wireless router to work.
