    Hello all
I'm wondering can anybody tell me how to turn a piece of pork into ham.
I have a couple of nice bits of pork and want to have them as hams for christmas.
    Thanks in advance
    Ron

    Ooh, home curing?

    Google shows up this http://lmgtfy.com/?q=how+do+you+cure+pork

Seems like a good bit of trouble, and a lot of salt, and a barrel. :P

    Best of luck!

Best advice I can give is go to amazon and buy a book by Jane Grigson called french pork cookery. It is a fantastic book with all the recipes you coud think of to make any kind of pork product from Sausages to Ham and lots of recipes for fresh pork as well.

River Cottage guy Hugh Wattlybottom Turnover Smythe does very good instructions on home curing.
