Go to Settings, then Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Scroll down to Contacts, hit Import SIM Contacts and bob's yer uncle.

No P&P required. Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Import SIM Contacts.

In case any one else wants to transfer contacts to an iphone and they're sim card is full, this is a real easy way.

If you have a mini USB cable, transfer your contacts to Outlook. When you sync with itunes it will ask you do you want to sync with outlook and of course you say yeah and hey presto all info(emails, bdays etc) goes across. Simple, fast and pain free. Could'nt believe it was that easy.

You also use Nokia PC Suite and you can also send to outlook.

    Hope that helps.

I have 500+ contacts on my Nokia.

My sim only holds 250 contacts. I copied the phone contacts to the SIM and it copied the first 250 which I uploaded to the iPhone. I now need the remaining 250+ but can't get the remainder onto the sim without manually deleting them from the phone.

Syncing with Outlook won't work for me as that copies all of the outlook contacts onto the phone which I dont need (only phone number contacts).....

    Anybody have any ideas?

Back up your Nokia using Nokia PC Suite. Open your contacts on your phone and delete the "second" 250 contacts from the phone leaving only the first 250. (This assumes you have say, 500 contacts or multiples of 250 as this is the SIM max number of contacts).

Delete all numbers from your SIM then copy the Nokia phone contacts onto the SIM. Insert the SIM into the iPhone then go to settings, import from SIM.

Remove SIM from iPhone, insert into Nokia. Delete all numbers from SIM. Go back into PC Suite, back up the numbers back onto the Nokia. Then open the Nokia in PC Suite where you will see the numbers back in the phone. Delete the first tranche of numbers and copy these to your SIM. Remove SIM again and back into the iPhone.

THe iPhone does not overwrite the first batch of imported numbers and merely adds on the second batch in alphabetical order...

    Bingo.

Albeit a very slow method but it works...
