Just wondering if anyone was at the match today and if ye have any photos, I'd say condidtions were tough, the cold & the 'fog', but I'd imagine it would make for some unusual sports shots !!!!!
Go on Ireland :D <waits in anticipation>

I was there alright but unfortunately with the IRFU you can't display them on public forums or sharing sites.

Some good photos alright with the fog. Fingers nearly fell off with the cold.

Some dramatic photos but most required a good bit of processing to get them decent.

    Zero degrees at pitch level.

PS I think this was the moment just before Ireland went 12:10 up - Johnny Sexton is out there somewhere lining up a kick.

    :D

To me that's selling out your soul to the system.
Utterly confused at the 2 people that thanked your reply.

Now if you wewre getting paid that would be different.

Maybe if you read all the post you wouldn't be so confused...

I was in the stands but without a 2.8 long lens I thought any photographs would be useless.

Conditions were to be expected especially around this time of the year. It certainly seperates the men from the boys. Timing of the shots is crucial because if play is too far away, you're just going to have a lost shot full of mist/fog.

I was at the Scotland V Argentina game, but not as a photographer. It was COLD, but clear. A horrible game of rugby though, so we left at half time.

Looking forward to seeing some of the picts from the game yesterday.

The IRFU are very strict on their license conditions, about how/where you can use the photos. If you're caught breaking the rules, you're blacklisted. Not nice being a sports photographer and being on a blacklist.

Ballyman, you can bring the hip flask for the next day.

Have a few taken from the lower stand with short lens. Not great, but better than nothing.
