Switch from SKY to UPC/Chorus/NTL...??

I'm installing a new alarm and am considering adding a fixed line instead of a GSM unit. This has lead me to look at a bundled offering from UPC to include digital TV (with HD+ and multiroom), 3mb broadband and fixed line (only to be used for the alarm system. THis package costs €95 per month.

I'm currently spending €60 per month per month for sky and €20 per month for mobile broadband so it's not a huge amount more, and te extra cost seems worth it for the multiroom and HD+.

    2 Questions:

    Is it worth it?

I've heard some horror stories about Chorus NTL - Are they any better now?

    Thanks in advance...

AFAIK, Most alarm companies will not use UPC as they as VOIP and not a fixed line. This is my understanding and if someone knows better, then I will stand corrected and also upgrade my alarm :)

Package wise, I am with them for over a year and happy to date, got the HD+, 20mb BB and phone package. Never took up the multiroom as I live in a 1 bedroom flat
