How do you know if a chimney is lined ?

    Have gas in the fireplace - no back boiler

    Can I replace it with solid fuel , are all chimneys lined or whatever it is I need ?

    House is 10 years old.

    Look at it on the inside - you might need a camera.

    The flue may be too small.

    if the house is only ten years old ,it chimney is certain to have flues.probably 9 inch flues
