Just watching it now, im not sure if its the first show or what but it is absolutely awful. Im dying to turn it off but I wana watch it to witness such bad tv in the making.

It just doesn't work in Ireland. It requires people to act kind of silly and I think Irish people are just too self-conscious to act the way thats needed to make the show fun. I also think that your man who presents it has the personality of a slug and has no ability to create the tension that Noel does on the british version!

Conclusion. Irish version is ****, not a patch on the uk version. Kill it now TV3!

And advertising his magic show during the breaks in DOND is just rubbing it in IMO. Utterly terrible

It's an embarrasment of a show. Cringeworthy.

I like the UK one by the way.

Not sure if this is appropriate for this thread but we nearly had a 1c winner tonight.

I wonder, if the '1c Club' does get created, is it possible that Keith could talk about it in a similar way that Noel Edmonds talks about the '1p Club'? As in, could he say that the club's members are on a barge or something?

I wonder do they actually get the 1cent or even take it for that matter!

Well 1p winners on DOND UK do get a cheque for that amount - though some have auctioned their cheques on eBay...

I gather it would probably be the same scenario with 1 cent winners.

I would soooo want the 1c cheque actually.

I've not seen it - but I can imagine how bad it is - I even find the UK one cringeworthy when Noel starts with his crap!!

I actually think it is a good programme. Keith Barry has improved vastly since the first couple of shows.

I've just been watching the New Years episode and I had to turn it off after 10 minutes. It's unbelievably cringeworthy.

There's no tension in the show whatsoever and Keith Barry imo is a rubbish presenter and seems to enjoy advertising himself throughout.

This show has no tension what so ever in any country.

Comparing the Irish and UK versions

    1. Crap presenter (Check)
    2. A boring concept (Check)
    3. Same Producers (Check)

Watched the first episode, will never watch it again. The least they could do is have the same graphics and theme music. No characters, family members opening boxes doesnt work either. Keith Barry irritates me to the point of distraction. He has no interest in the person picking the boxes at all. It will last as long as Who wants to be Millionaire did on Irish TV (if its lucky)

One of the good things about this show is that the Irish set is far more impressive then the UK one.

Yeah I saw it tonight. It seems set up for her to win. And I have to agree while I only saw the end of the show the number of times that the banker offered money for her box was too many time.

I only saw the end of the show myself I used to watch the uk one alot when it started and sometimes the banker will say I will give you an offer after each box especially if there are alot of blue amounts of money left
