Wrong picture aspect ratio on sky sports 2?

    Noticed the last couple of days that sky sports 2 keeps switching to a 4:3 picture ratio regardless of programme content. Anyone else notice this?

    What where you watching, some tv's will set the aspect ratio to that of the program and not the channel.
    For instance on Comedy Central, when ever I watch an old show like Fraiser the ratio changes to 4:3 but if I watch one of the new South Parks it stays at 16:9

    Yes , having the same problem since at least Tuesday night. Had this a couple of years ago too when they botched the aspect to Irish viewers for a couple of months. Don't know is there any point contacting sky?

    If you want to tune in the uk SS2 the freq is 12.266H 27.5 2/3. No good to the Sky+ people I know but at least it looks better.

    Thanks Michael. Just tried that. Works grand. Probably stick to ss2 on ch 402 and select widescreen on my telly remote for the time being though. I suppose Sky will fix it in time.

    Also notice that Liverpool TV on channel 434 is doing the same thing.

    Sky sports 1 at it as well! "You're on Sky Sports" is on at the moment. It's a 4:3 broadcast but the telly keeps switching to 16:9. Come on Sky, get this sorted!

    Yes was just about to add that. Soccer Saturday was showing in the wrong aspect earlier too - it was fine on Sky Sports News but "stretched" on SS1.
