we got sky hd installed yesterday and its great but i was wondering would there be a reason why the person who installed it wouldn't bring the wires through the attic and drop the wires through the ceiling in the room, instead he brought them along the roof down and drilled a whole in the wall just above the floor and brought them through that.

That's the way they do it. Once the external hole is plugged by the rubber thingy then should be no hassles.

is there anything wrong with going through the attic, he said he couldn't because there was two wires. me and my father had to bring it through the attic in the end

He probably didnt have public liability insurance cover to get into your attic where did you sign up for sky

it wasn't through sky directly. i wouldn't mind if it was an insurance thing but his excuse was because there was 2 wires.

If you wanted it through the attic he should have done it that way.

    Afraid of the cobwebs maybe?

He saved himself a few minutes. I told my installer he had to use the attic instead of drilling a great big hole in my wall. He eventually agrred.

I had already run the cables through the attic myself in preparation for the installation. No way I wanted a hole in my wall.
