Windows server 2000 folder security

    Hey,

I was wondering is the following scenario possible.

I have an application running under the NT User logged in context which needs Write ONLY access to a folder. This folder is on a different server share.

I then need to give the same server share read only access to a specific user.

so basically, a group of users can write files to the directory but cannot read the directory. This write access must be Write ONCE only - not allowed to modify written files or even list directory contents

the one user with Read ONLY access can see the files no problem.

    Can this be achieved?

I have set the folder to be shared for instance and all users can access it

    \\shareFolder

then created a subfolder within which is to be write only

    \\shareFolder\writeFiles

however when I do this, the application gets full access to "writeFiles" I think because it is propogated down from access from the share even tho it is specifically set not to do this.

Is such a configuration possible on Windows server 2000?

    Thanks.
