    yeh rang them up

    answered very quickly (surprise)

servers are in France but you get issued Irish ip addresses (good for SEO i suppose, or proxying rte player :D)

asked whether these can be resold, they said yes as long as nothing illegal is being ran on servers

There's a big difference between a server in France on a 'fake' Irish IP and a server actually in Ireland....

You get what you pay for ;)

Steve not an attack on you.

    What would the difference be?

    Sorry for the delay.

Latency would be one of the biggest issues, in simple terms the server would be slower to access. Additionally, if they are 'listing' French IP's as based in Ireland, there is every chance google / Ripe would have issue with that anyway

Cheers Steve! Was thinking that myself, just wanted to make sure. Not too up on the SEO side of things.

Thanks for the reply !

France vs Ireland how much latency do you think, micro seconds ?

Latency wouldn't even be noticeable, if they were being hosted in the far east then it might be an issue.

I seriously doubt that latency would cause any serious concern.

IP addresses don't have a "nationality". They are assigned to organisations. An Irish organisation is free to apply for a set of IP addresses and route these as it wishes.

    hi .

is using this "French" company good or bad for SEO ??? or there is no difference between having the servers in Ireland or in France . because the price is extremely tempting . thanx
