Streets of Wicklow - 5k

    In case anyone has this in their diary - a note from the Athletics Wicklow website that it has been cancelled:

    "Streets of Wicklow" won't be held this year!

    Please note that the "Streets of Wicklow" event, normally held on St. Stephen's Day, will not take place this year. The advertisement in the Irish Runner was published in error.

    Ah crap, my daughters did the kids race last year and were so looking forward to it this year :(
    Might have to bring them to Tallaght o xmas morning for the mile so.

    Yep - was looking fwd to it myself - guess I can pig out on Christmas day now :D and do the Tom Brennan instead!
    I think there might be a Goal Mile in Charlesland on Stephen's morning/lunchtime , I'll post it when I find out.

    Not 100% sure, but I was talking to a guy down the town who said it was a combination of a lack of sponsorship and volunteers - but that could be just speculation.

    navan 10k the 26th at claremont stadium.Not a fan of this race however it is a race!
