I have become skilled at lying over the years and can now tell lies as quickly as I can make them up. This helps when you play poker as much as I do, not for bluffing, but for disguising the strength of your hand (alright, a bit of bluffing too).

But in real life, I worry myself sometimes, when I find myself believing stuff that I say which is absolutely untrue!:eek:

I'm a terrible liar, can't lie to save my life really. To Give an example, recently, I was sitting down at my seat in a G20 meeting and we were discussing ways of seeming like we gave a shit about the poor African nations when I decided to rub Merkel's leg under the table. She was delighted to get the come on and at the next interval she dragged me to the ladies and threw me up against the cubicle wall. Anyhoo, to cut a long story short, I was intent on getting a bit of 'backdoor action' so I told her that I'd leave Carla to be with her - she instantly knew, by the reflection of my face in the toilet roll dispenser that I was lying.

P.S. I feel really bad about that handball incident ... honest ...
