Have you got a 4GB USB key? If so, check this out: http://www.aidanfinn.com/index.php/2009/08/install-windows-from-usb-2-0-key/

It applies to Windows 7/Vista/Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2. It's faster to install than DVD anyway.

I would presume you could do this with a USB drive but be careful that you don't lose anything that's already on it.
