VW Golf windows tinted??

    hey people i was woundering could ya all help me,

    I have a grey 06 golf and im thinking about getting the windows tinted on it. What do you all think about this?? Good idea? Bad idea??

    Not much to go on there Eoin.

    How dark?

    How many windows?

    This is what I would do on a 3/5 door.

    I would suggest Smoked on the two rear windows and the rear windscreen and light smoke on the drivers and passengers.

    id go with dark black on back and light on front or light all round..

    dont go with smoke it can look very tacky especially on newish cars.

    your better of its a bit of privacy and is also great when sun is shining from side angle

    Its a 5 door.

    I was thinking of getting the 3 back windows pretty dark and then the 2 front ones a lighter tone.

    What color is the car? is there anything else done to it? i.e a silver car on steel wheels or small alloys at standard height with tinted windows just screams "sh!te"

    Where as a Black 3 dr GTI or similar with a subtle tint on the rear passenger and rear window can look nice,I have a black car(saloon) with tints on the rear doors and rear window i like it (it looks factory),i wouldn't go near the front doors or have a stupid front windscreen visor done either.

    just get them done to the same spec as OEM, its roughly 50% tint in the likes of visionfx and shades.

    But em yeah theres nothin else done to the car coz its only new!! need to get a set of alloys for it!!

    Dont suppose anyone knows where i can get a nice set for cheap???

    Wouldn't really know where to go to get alloys but as for tint there's a deadly place does a great job in Swords there. Their website is windowtinting.ie but they based in the unit of Signs ASAP i think. Anyway does a great job fairly cheap. probably between €180 & €240. Day I was there they had a Lotus Exige in too :D
