Training Finance

    Has anybody got any idea reguarding getting finance for pilot training. I've been in contact with aib and they have told me that i would need to get onto the bank of whoever my garenture would be.

    Does any body no if and how much of a deposit needs to be put down, i no it varys for everybody but a general idea would do,

    basically your parents would have to go guarantor for you which means if you take out a loan of just say 100k and default on the repayments the bank could take your parents house if they use that as the guarantee.

    i was offered the 100k from my bank within two days due to the fact that im an house owner did i take the loan? no f**king way

    as i pionted out to you Mighty why do intergrated when you can do modular by me going full time intergrated how would i live e.g feed my self pay my mortcage&bills for over a year&half
    i dont know regarding the deposit as i didnt take it any futher i can see were your coming from going intergrated regarding the ground school.(if you really need to be in a classroom enviorment go to oxford for 6 months full time and get the exams done).

    im still training Mighty but having worked for an airline in the ops dept dealing with the crews etc i know whats involved.
    as for were i trained i did mine in the US if you look through the last thread you posted about PTC i posted the time frame that my mate did his in.

    Mighty have a look at Atlantic in Cork. They have a great record and in general a really fabulous school.

    Simple. It's very unlikely that anyone could get a good enough job to pay the loan back in this climate. You'd end up bankrupting your parents as well as yourself.
