    Beatdown Podcast Vol 1:

    The Beatdown is a new music night hosted by ChoiceCuts in the cool surroundings of Pygmalion, Sth. William St., Dublin, Ireland. The venue has been given a complete revamp from its Ba Mizu days and now boasts a top of the range sound system along with a stylish new interior.


    As we are all keen to keep things recession/dole friendly admission will be FREE and pitchers of beer will be on offer for 10e as well as a free drink which can be recieved by texting PYG to 51500 (Sunday to Thursday).


    Music is from 10.30 - 2.30 with ChoiceCut DJs and occasional guests focusing on cutting edge sounds from the likes of:


    Hudson Mohawke, Flying Lotus, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Joker, Onra, Madlib, Breakestra, Gaslamp Killer, Fulgeance, Dudley Perkins, J Dilla, Glitch Mob, Quantic, Mochipet, Lee Fields, Harmonic 313, Tipper, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, The Soul Investigators, Mayer Hawthorne etc.


    Joining Handsome Paddy this Thursday is Neuromancer, a collaboration between Mr. Grif and SeeQue which came about earlier this year through an equal appreciation for hip-hop/rap mixtapes and the international beat making scene. While both are instrumental beatmakers in their own right, The Neuromancer project is an attempt to blend aspects of beat based electronic music and Dubstep with some of the poppier elements of R'nB and Rap. Expect the set to flirt with glitched up pop hooks, re-worked slow-jamz, & futuristic beat assualts, guaranteed to get your rump shakin'.
