PS3 - When to get best deals?

    Hey all, so I'm thinking of picking up a PS3 for Christmas, and was just wondering if people had any ideas when (and where) the best deals available are? Before or after Christmas? And would it be cheaper to buy online?

    Any and all opinions will be greatly appreciated...

    I purchased my PS3 slim in Gamestop for €299 with MW2. I shopped around and that was the best deal I could find in bricks n mortar. You would probably save a few quid getting online but if anything ever happens to it the hassle of having to send back...

    The next two weeks are probably the best time for deals as all the competing retailers look for market share. As it gets closer to Christmas stock gets short and prices go up as it becomes customers competing to buy rather than retailers competing to sell...

    I think the best deal (in Ire) is the Ps3 slim 250gb with fifa 2010 and Uncharted 2 for €350.

    Well for me it was, with the game choise n'all.

    Im also having a look around and one of the best I can see at the mo is 120 gb + any 4 games + extra controller €399 Harvey Norman. Don't really need 4 games initially so may go for something closer to €340

    I picked up a 250gb with Uncharted 2 and an extra controller for 350 last night in xtra-vision.. Comes with some rental vouchers aswell i think

    I just got a 250gb ps3 with Assassins Creed 2 for €321 delivered from Amazon. Ordered it Sunday evening and it arrived yesterday.

    They have them in Argos for £285 for a 250gb ps3 with 3 games up in newry there a faw weaks back
