Can I buy travel insurance after I booked a flight but before I fly? Will it cover cancellation?

you could check the terms on various policies but generally it would / should be got at time of booking.

VHI multi-trip allow it. They will cover the trip you've already booked, but not a cancellation of it. (if that makes sense?)

Check out Blue insurance as well, it will cover the costs of you cancellation if it is due to an illness etc.. (non pre-exsiting of course), you loose the 1st €90 after that you should be grand

www.blueinsurance.ie <--- if you want to read there policy
