On JSB but can I work freelance or be self-employed at the same time.

I have tried to see if this has been posted already but I can't find anything about it.

I'm on JSB but I may be asked to work freelance for maybe two days per week (It's not guaranteed to be two days every week though, it'll probably be less).

So this probably would mean I would be self-employed, yes  as I would have to look after my own taxes.

How would this affect my JSB, would it just mean that the SW deduct two days from my JSB or do I have to sign of and become self-employed?

    Any help would be great.

Pretty much the same boat as myself, i asked in SW office and i was told that if i had 2 or 3 days work as a once off ( or every now and then rather than 2 days a week) I could just tell them at my hatch and they will take the 2 days pay from your payment for that week.

Im not entirely sure she understood the context of the job and if self employed or employee made a difference.

I would guess you should register with revenue as a sole trader anyway.
