Moisture issues with insulating dry-lined cavity?

I just wondered if insulating an internal dry lined cavity is either a. ineffective or b. will lead to moisture issues.

    Any opinions on this?

what is the size/buildup of the wall at the minute ?
Old house circa 1921. Thick Stone (literally) walls rendered external finish. All internal walls in house were latted & plastered because of dampness issues.
One small extension with cavity block which has just had cavity filled.
Other extension with mass concrete lower level and single flat block upper level walls - Again, internally, these walls have been latted and plastered. This is the weakest link as far as heat retention is concerned. Options seem to be limited unless the internal cavity could be filled? Would there be moisture issues again if this was done? How practical would it be to get the fill in there as i'd imagine it would be a lot trickier than standard cavity fill?
