mobile internet & meteor

    hi, the Meteor website mentions that they cannot deliver the settings for the iPhone.

    is there any way to go around that and get the Meteor Mobile internet working on the iPhone ? how does that work?

    Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network

    APN: data.mymeteor.ie
    USER: my
    PASSWORD: meteor

    :) indeed since I input those settings I have the icon for the 3G
    I can access use Maps (GPS), browse iTunes Store, view the Stocks and even view videos on YouTube and surf the web

    is all that for free ?
    can I use Skype or equivalent to call as well? is there an app for that?

    Absolutely not. You should really check what package you are on, because you could be hit with a bill of hundreds of Euro for data transfer. We hear about this happening all the time over on the Mobiles/PDA forum.

    Yes, it is in the App store. Just do a search in there.

    Why would it be free? If your on bill pay dont use the phone until you buy a data package (and this wont be activated until your next billing date), on prepay its 99cent a day up to 50mb (which is a lot of usage on a phone).

    I never gave them my credit card details, I'm "pay as you go"

    The same way the charge you for anything on your phone - by reducing your credit. :D
