i never knew of this site!
    thank you!
    (im from county cork)
hickeys is so expensive,(limerick) that its hardly worthwhile driving there! (imo)

    i usually order off etsy.com
the people are nice and friendly and the range to choose from is amazing!
and most people dont overcharge on postage!
    :)

In Sligo there is a fabric shop upstairs in Lyons. I'm sure you know it but if not.....Its at the end of wine street where it joins with the pedestrian main street.

    might be worth a look...

just thought of guineys in castlebar too they wouldn't be very expensive either....

In the last few years the choice has increased dramatically.
Vibes and Scribes have a craft shop at the bottom of Patrick St in Cork city, the cork craft shop ( in paul st shopping centre, opposite the tesco in the city centre) has updated and gotten a lot more variety in its stock.

Not sure if it's dress-making or quilting fabric you're looking for, but there are a good few quilting fabric shops around the country.

    There's the Limerick Quilt Centre,http://www.quilt.ie

Rags for Linda (Based in Oughterard, Co. Galway. http://ragsforlinda.com/

Clew Bay Quilting (Westport, Co. Mayo) http://clewbayquilting.com/

    Threads of Green (Kilkenny)

Fluffy Sheep Quilting (on-line shop - based in Galway) http://www.fluffysheepquilting.com/

Fluffy Sheep Quilting has a good link of fabric shops in Ireland on her blog at http://fluffysheepquilting.blogspot.ie/p/quilt-shops-in-ireland.html

I need some tulle for a Hallowe'en costume, but I'm working in South Dublin and can't get into town this week. Does anyone know of somewhere I could go to get this in the South Dublin area?

I was looking at craft cafe/fabric matters in Bray, but the phone number doens't work and the website is down so I don't know if they're still open.
